So far, LYC has produced more than 2000 shield machine bearings. The high quality standard of the product is very important, since dismantling and repairing of slewing table bearings is difficult and expensive, or not possible at all. For many major projects around the world, the reliability of bearings and the smooth operation of machines are critical.

The slewing rings can be manufactured as a single piece with a diameter of up to 9.6 m. Segmented slewing bearings are available in diameters up to 18 m. However, size is not the only variable characteristic of bearings. Their specific designs and materials also vary according to customer requirements. In addition, various bearings are used in tunnel boring machines, such as main shield bearings and shaft bearings. These include single row ball bearings, three row roller bearings and crossed roller bearings. Therefore, each finished slewing bearing is unique and adjusted specifically to its requirements.
